Polyanionic Cellulose :

It is a high-quality water soluble cellulose derivative. In shape of white or light yellow free-flowing powder, it is odorless, tasteless, non-toxic & non-fermented, and has good thermal-stability and high salt resistance. It is soluble into water to form thick liquid, and it widely used in water-base drilling fluid so as to enhance the drilling fluid viscosity and control the fluid loss. Cloud Point Glycol :

The cloud point of a nonionic surfactant or glycol solution is the temperature at which the mixture starts to phase-separate, and two phases appear, thus becoming cloudy. This behavior is characteristic of non-ionic surfactants containing polyoxyethylene chains, which exhibit reverse solubility versus temperature behavior in water and therefore "cloud out" at some point as the temperature is raised.

Drilling Detergent :

Transfer the contents to 500 ml. measuring cylinder and observe phase separation of the mixture which should be as follows I) Immediate separation of HSD oil should be nil
(II) Separation of HSD oil after 24 hrs. at room temperature should not be more than 5 ml

6) Mud Lubricity Coefficient Prepare a 10 cp Bentonite suspension by dilution of prehydrated Bentonite suspension (OIL / API approved Bentonite) and treat it with 0.5% (V/V) of the sample and stir it for 15 minutes in a multimixer. Determine lubricity coefficient of the suspension in a lubricity tester Lubricity co-efficient should not be more than 0.20 0.20
7) Foaming tendency test Prepare 0.10% (v/v) solution of the sample in distilled water Stir the solution for 10 minutes in a multimixer. Transfer the content immediately to a Increase in volume should not be more than 5.00% As per requirement
Defoamer :

A defoamer or an anti-foaming agent is a chemical additive that reduces and hinders the formation of foam in industrial process liquids. The terms anti-foam agent and defoamer are often used interchangeably. Strictly speaking, defoamers eliminate existing foam and anti-foamers prevent the formation of further foam. We are offering two types of Defoamer

(1) Defoamer Silicon Base:

Performance Test
A) Prepare 7% Bentonite suspension in distilled water (7 g of Bentonite + 97 ml of Distilled water) and age for 72 hours at 90 + 2’C. Stir the suspension in Hamilton Beach Mixer at low speed for 15 minutes and load it to 1.30 specific Gravity with Barites. Passes
B) Treat the loaded Mud with 3% Gypsum (w/v) followed by 3% (w/v) Chrome Lignosulphonate (CLS). Adjust the pH between 9.0 – 9.5 by adding appropriate aliquots of 5/V caustic soda solution. Stir for 30 minutes with a Hemilton Beach Mixer at high speed. The brand of CLS added should be so selected specific gravity of stirred Mud fails below 1.0 Passes
C) Treat this Mud with 500 ppm of silicon defoamer sample. Stir for 30 seconds and determine the specific Gravity of the Mud Specific Gravity of the mud treated with defoamer should not be less than 1.28 1.28
(2) Defoamer Alcohol Base :

4 Application Alcohol based Defoamer is used in many industries and has been used widely in drilling completion and work over fluids. It is in liquid form and easy to mix and works quickly and effectively reduces the forms in aqueous fluid systems.
Biocide :

Biocides are used in the offshore oil and gas industry to maximize production by protecting assets through the inhibition of microbial induced biofilm and corrosion. An oil and gas company is careful when using this chemical. It is used in small amounts to control the growth of bacteria and other harmful organisms in the wellbore.

Corrosion Inhibitor

Corrosion inhibitors(singular, corrosion inhibitor) are chemicals that can significantly reduce the corrosion of metals when applied properly into the fluids. In oil gas industry, gas system typically requires vapor phase corrosion inhibitorwhile liquid containing system typically requires film forming corrosion inhibitors.

As a swelling clay, bentonite has the ability to absorb large quantities of water, which increases its volume by up to a factor of eight. the swelling property is used to advantage in drilling mud and groundwater sealants. Baryte :

Baryte is a commercial name of Barium Sulphate. Baryte is generally white or colorless, and is the main source of the element barium. 69–77% of baryte is used as a weighting agent for drilling fluids in oil and gas exploration to suppress high formation pressures and prevent blowouts. As a well is drilled,the bit passes through various formations, each with different characteristics. The deeper the hole, the more baryte is needed as a percentage of the total mud mix. An additional benefit of baryte is that it is non-magnetic and thus does not interfere with magnetic measurements taken in the borehole, either during logging-while-drilling or in separate drill hole logging. Baryte used for drilling petroleum wells can be black, blue, brown or gray depending on the ore body
